Geek Stuff

Just some stuff I think is pretty cool and a bit on the geeky side of life. I'm not affiliated with any of the sites that sell any of these things. I just think this stuff is neat. A lot these links will go to ThinkGeek. I am not affiliated with them, but they are where I buy stuff. I post links to them because I know they are legit and are a good company. Follow the links and just poke around on the site.

Because who wouldn't want their family room to smell like teen spirit?

I own this and it is the coolest thing ever. It makes the T.A.R.D.I.S sound when you close it and the light actually works. The only sad thing is that unfortunately it is not bigger on the inside.

I know there is controversy surrounding this hat and where we should buy it from and who we should support (corporations vs independent entrepreneurs) but all of the profits from the sales by ThinkGeek go to a worthy charity.

Personally I would use this to make chocolate bars but ice works too.

Okay, let's not even pretend that these aren't completely adorable. Who wouldn't want to snuggle up with that cuddly Gollum before bed or have a mini Gandalf guarding the closet door to ensure no monsters pass? Even the little Bilbo is just crying out for you to take him on an adventure to school or work or maybe to get some second breakfast.

Does The Hunger Games count as a nerdy/geeky interest? I don't know and am not sure I am the best judge on that. Either way, I loved these books and have one of these pins (although mine came from Borders years ago-hipster moment) and they are so cool.

This doesn't even need explanation. Why wouldn't you want this???

Okay, this is just cool to me. It teaches you how to make real food into future food. There is a lot more science to it than that, but ultimately, that is what it does.  Boozey Alternative

You will have to excuse the exclamation points. I just really really want this. I want to squish it. I want to poke it. I want to...well pretty much just poke and squish it. Aerogel is the world's lowest density solid and I want to know what it feels like.
